Once you send a request, that Contact will appear in your Contacts carousel, unless you delete it. However, you will not be able to connect via Skype until the contact has accepted your request.

Be careful when adding filters for country, state and/or city: if the person you’re trying to reach didn’t add this information to his or her account, then the filter will filter them out of the resulting list.

To filter by country, simply enter the first letter of the country’s name. You will then see a list of flags with country name labels. Use , or , to navigate to the desired country. Press to select it or to cancel and go back.
